Nestled on a multi-acreage property, this former working ranch has been kept in the family for decades. The house, built in the 1950s, not only needed a major overhaul but the homeowner also had plans to enlarge the home’s footprint building out a new kitchen and family room. Working in tandem with architect, Dianne Kett of DK Studio, this beautiful property is now the space for multi-generation families to gather for years to come.
While designing the property, we were instructed by our homeowner to bring the outdoors in and tie in both our clients love for art deco, William Morris and antiques. We achieved this by using natural stone materials, warm stained flooring, and colors that were soft for the backdrop of the home. While furnishing the home, we were able to utilize existing pieces and source new pieces of furniture that added bold jewel tone pops of color into each room.
