Junior Designer

Job Description

A boutique high-end residential Interior Design Firm in the Austin Metro area is seeking an exceptional Jr. Designer.

Requirements Include:

  • Possess a degree from an accredited Interior Design program
  • 2-4 years of working experience in a design firm
  • Proficiency in Studio Designer preferred
  • Extremely organized and methodical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional portfolio of work
  • Experience with all phases of Interior Design process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in CAD, sketch and hand-drawing a plus
  • Must have personal stability
  • Must have a mature, pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Must have an easy communication style and work confidently with design staff and  luxury clientele
  • Must be exceptionally driven and passionate about achieving excellence in your work
  • Must be able to demonstrate a history of exquisite follow through skills
  • Must have familiarity with 5 star experiences
  • Must embody a refined personal presence
  • Must demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence
  • Must live within a 20 mile radius

Responsibilities Include:

  • Report directly to Allison Jaffe
  • Assist with research, sourcing and pricing
  • CAD
  • Sampling, CFA’s and vendor follow through
  • Manage product images; scanning, saving and printing
  • Assist with creation of proposals
  • Prepare Client proposal packages
  • Update Studio Designer with all  necessary updates
  • Update Master Task List
  • All design department filing
  • Create and maintain design folders
  • Assist with creating of client presentations
  • Update and maintain resource library
  • Errands and general Designer assistance

Expeditor / Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description

A boutique high-end residential Interior Design Firm in the Austin Metro area is seeking an Expeditor (or Purchasing Coordinator) to handle the high volume of merchandise purchasing and installations.

This high-performing interior design firm offers a pleasant working environment with a competitive compensation package for the right candidate. This position is ideal for an outstanding professional who has master project tracking and coordination skills and wants a stable and long-term position with a growing firm.  This position is part-time and will work in the office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all purchasing and goods procurement interior design projects
  • Coordinate all product deliveries
  • Manage product warehousing as needed
  • Coordinate shipping, deliveries and installations
  • Enter all scheduling information in project tracking software
  • Enter and manage all vendor information
  • Weekly status reporting
  • Coordinate with bookkeeper regarding vendor payments as needed
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure they are providing goods and services as needed

Requirements Include:

  • 2 years of product procurement experience
  • 2 years of office administration experience
  • A degree in business administration preferred
  • Experience in design showroom, products or design industry procurement preferred
  • Interior Design vendor knowledge a big plus
  • Must live within a half hour of Austin metro area
  • Must be able to commit 3 years or more to the position
  • Proficiency in Studio Designer preferred
