Nestled in the heart of the hip ’04 neighborhood is a recently built and purchased home. Not having any furniture, the young and vibrant client called on us to put together a living room that fit her goals of relaxation and entertainment. The living room is anchored by a custom designed rug, inspired by a infinity pattern. Grey leather Thayer Coggin chairs sit across from a clean lined sectional wrapped in a grey herringbone pattern. The concrete coffee table, imprinted with the periodic table juxtaposes the furry and boldly colored custom pillows. Positioned by the one window in the room, is the ultimate touch of whimsy, a blue leather hanging chair. A soft grey wash of grey sweeps over walls and the custom curated art balances any harsh lines created by the furniture. The house was decorated for the holiday in the Scandinavian hygge style. Hygge is a word used to describe the coziness of a home. Hygge attributes include items such as nature, candles, blankets and other trinkets that make the home perfect for holiday gathers and the like.
